2. Data the developer does not collect
Polaris Adventure has no developer account system, and the developer does not request or collect personal data to operate the game, including: name, email, phone, address, documents, date of birth, payment or banking data, contacts, location, photos, microphone/audio, or any personal identifiers. The optional sign-in to Google Play Games is handled entirely by Google (see section 6); the developer never receives your Google credentials or personal data. The advertising partners described in section 4 process limited technical data directly; that data is not sent to the developer.
The game does not require sensitive permissions (location, camera, microphone, or contacts) and does not request access to the advertising ID. It uses the app-specific storage provided by the system to save progress, and network access to load ads and to use the optional Google Play Games features.
3. Data stored locally
To function, the game saves some information exclusively on the device, in the storage the Android system reserves for the app:
- Progress and match state (current stage and the ability to continue);
- Unlocked achievements;
- Best completion times (campaign and Challenge mode);
- Settings and preferences (audio, video, language, accessibility, vibration, and bear customization: the bear, fur color, and hat you choose).
This data exists only so the player can resume their experience and is not sent to any developer server. If you are signed in to Google Play Games, this progress, your achievements, and your best times are also synced to your own Google account (as Play Games achievements, leaderboard scores, and a Saved Game in your Google Drive), so you can restore them after reinstalling or on another device — see section 6. It can be deleted at any time (see section 8).
4. Advertising, purchases, and analytics
The game shows ads. There are two formats:
- Rewarded video (optional): when you run out of lives, you may choose to watch an ad to continue. It is never shown unless you tap the button.
- Interstitial: a full-screen ad that may occasionally appear when you retry after a game over. It is never shown during gameplay.
Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), an ad mediation service provided by Unity, which requests ads from Google AdMob and Unity Ads.
All players are treated as children for advertising purposes. The game instructs its advertising partners to apply child-directed treatment to every ad request, which means:
- ads are not personalized: no interest-based advertising, remarketing, or ad profiling;
- the game does not request access to the advertising ID of your device;
- ads are requested with a content rating suitable for general audiences.
To deliver ads, limit how often they appear, measure whether they were shown, and prevent fraud, the advertising partners’ software in the game may process limited technical data, such as: IP address (which can indicate an approximate region), device model, operating system version, language, app identifier, ad interactions (for example, whether an ad was shown, tapped, or watched to the end), and diagnostic information. This data is collected directly by those partners and handled under their own privacy policies:
- Unity (LevelPlay and Unity Ads): Game Player and App User Privacy Policy;
- Google (AdMob): Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
The developer does not receive data that identifies individual players from these partners; the developer only sees aggregate reports (such as the number of ads shown and revenue).
- No purchases: there are no in-app purchases; the developer collects no payment data.
- No developer analytics or tracking: apart from the advertising described above, the developer uses no analytics, telemetry, or behavior-monitoring services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or similar) and does not build player profiles.
5. No multiplayer, communication, or user content
The game is a single-player experience, with no multiplayer, chat, messaging, friends list, or communication between players. It also does not allow uploading content to developer servers. Consequently, no such data is collected or stored. The only information that other players may see is your position on the optional Google Play Games leaderboards, described in section 6.
6. Google Play and Android platform services
The game is distributed for Android through Google Play. Distribution, installation, security, and integrity functions may involve processing of technical information by Google and the Android system, under Google’s own policies. Such processing is outside the developer’s control.
The game integrates optional Google Play Games Services:
- Sign-in: you may sign in with your Google Play Games account. Authentication is performed by Google; the app receives only a pseudonymous player identifier on your device, never your Google password or personal data.
- Achievements: the achievements you unlock are recorded in Google Play Games, linked to your account.
- Leaderboards: your best completion times for the campaign and for Challenge mode are submitted to Google Play Games leaderboards. They may be visible to other players next to your Play Games player name, according to your Google Play Games profile settings.
- Cloud save (Saved Games): your game progress and settings are stored as a Saved Game in your own Google Drive (the app’s private data area), so you can restore them after reinstalling or on another device.
These features are optional and active only while you are signed in — the game remains fully playable offline without them, with all data kept only on your device. When used, this information is stored in your own Google account and processed by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy; the developer operates no server and does not receive this data. You can review or delete it through Google Play Games and your Google account settings.
The game is built with the Unity engine. Using Unity as a development tool, in itself, does not imply that the developer collects personal data from players. The Unity advertising services used by the game are described in section 4.
7. This website
The Polaris Adventure website (p4ulor.dev) is a static information page. It has no accounts, forms, comments, cookies, analytics, or tracking pixels, and it uses no advertising or social-media trackers.
The fonts, images, and background video are served directly by the website itself. The pages do not load content from third parties, so visiting them does not send your data to other companies.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, the hosting service may automatically record technical information about each request (such as IP address, browser, and the date and time of the visit) to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse. This is handled under Vercel’s Privacy Policy; the developer does not use it to identify visitors.
The page links to the game’s Google Play listing and to the developer’s GitHub profile. Those are separate websites with their own policies, and they receive information only if you choose to open them.
8. Data sharing
The developer does not sell, rent, or share players’ personal data. As there are no developer-owned servers or player database, there is no personal information under the developer’s control to share. The game includes third-party advertising software (Unity LevelPlay, Google AdMob, and Unity Ads), which processes the limited technical data described in section 4 directly, under those providers’ policies. The optional Google Play Games features (sign-in, achievements, leaderboards, and cloud save) store data in your own Google account and are processed by Google under its policies; the developer does not receive or control that data. Any data processed directly by Google Play or Android is likewise subject to those providers’ policies. The website is hosted by Vercel, which may process technical request data as described in section 7.
9. Security, retention, and deletion
Because the game’s data stays locally on the device, its retention depends on the player and the operating system. No storage method is completely secure, but since nothing is transmitted to developer servers, exposure of this data is minimized.
The player can remove all local data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the game’s data/cache in the Android settings. If you used Google Play Games, the cloud copy (your achievements, leaderboard scores, and the Saved Game) is held in your own Google account; you can delete it through Google Play Games or your Google account settings (see section 6). There is no developer-held account that would need to be deleted upon request.
Technical data processed by the advertising partners (section 4) is retained by them according to their own policies; the developer does not store it and cannot delete it on your behalf. Requests about that data should be sent to the respective partner.
10. Children
The game may be used by people of different ages, including children under 13. The developer collects no personal data, requires no registration, and builds no profiles. The developer does not knowingly request personal information from children or teenagers.
The game shows ads, and it treats every player as a child for advertising purposes, regardless of age: ads are not personalized, the game does not request access to the advertising ID, and ads are requested with a content rating suitable for general audiences (see section 4). Watching a rewarded ad is always optional.
Parents or guardians with questions may contact the email in section 1.
11. Your rights and applicable law
The developer aims to process the minimum data needed to provide the game. As there is no account or personal database under the developer’s control, most data remains on the player’s device.
Where applicable, users may have rights under data-protection laws, such as Brazil’s LGPD (Law No. 13.709/2018), the GDPR/UK GDPR in the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom, and, for children’s data in the United States, COPPA. Requests concerning data processed directly by Google, Unity, or Android should be directed to that provider; for data under the developer’s control, use the email in section 1.
12. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated if the game adds features that change how data is handled (for example, accounts, multiplayer, new advertising partners, analytics, or purchases). In such cases, the new version will be published on this page with a revised update date. Please review it periodically.
